Dr Ian Denley Co-founder
Ian has over 25 years’ experience in the software industry, with the last 15 specialising in healthcare. His principle skills are leadership, software design and development and the various corporate skills required as CEO of a substantial public SME. At Shearwater, Ian is primarily responsible for working with member companies on shaping and delivering their product development and corporate strategies.
Previously Ian was CEO of System C Healthcare plc and drove the company’s corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and software product development.
Markus Bolton Co-founder
Markus has been a company director in the IT industry for 33 years and has specialised in healthcare since 1993. His principle skills are leadership, solution design, consulting, sales and strategy. At Shearwater he is primarily responsible for working with companies on designing and executing their sales and service delivery strategies.
Markus was the founder of System C Healthcare plc. Most recently, he was director of strategy and sales until leaving the company in 2012, one year after its sale to McKesson.
Nicky Willmore Director of marketing and communications
Nicky is responsible for all marketing and communications activity at Shearwater and also takes the lead in turbo-charging marcomms at our member companies. Her role encompasses branding, PR, advertising, exhibitions and a full range of above and below the line marketing activity.
Prior to Shearwater, Nicky was director of communications for System C Healthcare plc. Previous roles included editing various finance, public sector and healthcare titles; news and feature writing for specialist magazines and national newspapers.
Jane Conner Director of HR and administration - Company secretary
Jane is company secretary of Shearwater and is also responsible for all HR and administrative guidance for our member companies.
Jane has 27 years’ experience at System C Healthcare plc, most recently as director of HR and business administration. She was also company secretary. During that time Jane planned and managed the HR and administrative infrastructure of the company as it changed and adapted and ensured that care for our staff remained a central theme. Jane was also heavily involved in System C’s acquisition activity and in subsequent successful integration of acquired companies.
